St Oswald’s

St Oswald’s

For over eight hundred  years the beautiful 12th Century church of St Oswald has been a meeting place for worship in the local community. It continues to be a thriving hub and throughout the year and many people come and visit. We have services at 10.30am and 3pm (winter) 6pm (summer) every week and we are a growing friendly family. Refreshments are always served after the 10.30am services. The church often looks amazingly beautiful with floral displays done by the flower arrangers team. If you would like to make donations for church flowers, perhaps in memory of a loved one, there is a sign up notice in the church.

Watch & Welcome

Our team of volunteers continue the tradition of providing a warm welcome, a tour of the church, a listening ear and refreshments are available to visitors during the summer months. The church is open from March to November, Monday to Thursday, from 10.30-12.30 (subject to volunteers being available or services). The history of the church is fascinating and the large church yard is steeped in history too.
